The 10th International Workshop on Strong Correlations and Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy

From September 10 to 15, 2023, the 10th International Workshop on Strong Correlations and Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (CORPES 2023) was held at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.CORPES is an international series of workshops, held biennially since 2005, dedicated to recent experimental and theoretical advances in the electronic structure of strongly correlated systems and quantum materials. The workshops bring together scientists working in the broad areas of many-body electronic structure theory and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES).The aim is to deepen our understanding of the microscopic mechanisms underpinning the properties and functionalities of quantum materials (e.g., topological systems, 2D materials, correlated oxides, and superconductors). Recent experimental and theoretical advances in photoemission spectroscopy are also covered. Experimentally the workshops cover new developments in free electron lasers, synchrotron radiation sources, and laboratory-based sources such as lasers.China Star provided the following service for the CORPES2023Website, registration & submission system set up, and some services for on-site operation.

International Symposium on the Three Gold Rules for the Future Sexual Medicine: Science, Culture, and Lifestyle

The Menarini Foundation, from Italy, organized the International Symposium on the Three Gold Rules for the Future Sexual Medicine: Science, Culture, and Lifestyle from July 7-8, 2023 at the Kempinski Hotel Beijing Yansha Center, Beijing.It is a meeting of dialogue between scientists from Italy, where the medicine of sexuality has produced some of the most prolific researchers, accompanied by famous opinion leaders from Europe, America, and other parts of the “Western” world with great scientists from China, where the medicine of sexuality is snowballing, also accompanied by well-known opinion leaders from Korea and Vietnam and other parts of the “Eastern” world.Dialogue and mutual learning are pivotal in every field of science, but above all, in sexual medicine, which increasingly bases its work not only on the hydraulic and pharmacological aspects but on the holistic, indeed systemic, understanding of the couple and their health. Therefore, it appears evident that the millennial tradition of traditional medicines can ideally dialogue with Western diagnostics and therapy of sexual dysfunctions, brilliantly overcoming the difficulties of mutual understanding that there may be present.China Star provided meeting services for this symposium.

the 6th International Conference on Nanoenergy and Nanosystems (NENS 2023)

Organized by Huairou District People's Government, Huairou Science City Management Committee and Beijing?Institute of Nanoenergy and Nanosystems, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 6th International Conference on Nanoenergy and Nanosystems (NENS 2023) was held on June 17-19, 2023 at Beijing Yanqi Lake International Convention & Exhibition Center, Beijing, China.?During the 2 and half day conference, more than 2000 scholars, students, industry and related people from 26 countries and regions participated the conference with 11 plenary lectures and Nano Energy Awardees’ presentation, and 400 breakout speeches in total. Both speakers and participants actively involved in intensive discussions on 8 major topics during the Conference. Around 300 poster presenters demonstrated their latest scientific achievements.China Star provided full PCO service for NENS 2023.

The Second International Workshop on Vertical Farming (VertiFarm2023)

The Second International Workshop on Vertical Farming (VertiFarm2023) was successfully held in Chengdu, China on May 23, 2023. It was organized by ISHS (International Society for Horticultural Science) and Urban Agriculture Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and co-organized by National Agricultural Science and Technology Center. More than 420 renowned experts, professors, and scholars from 18 countries and regions including USA, Japan, UK, South Korea, Italy and Chile attended the workshop. In-depth discussions were conducted around the theme of "Expanding arable land resources and significantly increasing food production capacity".China Star provided full PCO service for the workshop.

The 12th Council Session of the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR)

On March 28, 2023, The 12th Council Session of the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR) along with the flag-raising ceremony for Chad and the Democratic Republic of Congo joining INBAR was held in Beijing. The conference was hosted by the INBAR, with the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan providing comprehensive support to ensure its successful completion.The Council received participation from over 80 representatives of member countries across 37 nations, including 10 ambassadors and 5 representatives. More than ten media outlets attended the event, including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, CGTN, CCTV, and China Green Times, among others.During the conference, a flag-raising ceremony was also held for the new member countries, Chad and Congo (DRC). Following the Council, guests from various countries visited the bamboo and rattan exhibition hall at the International Center for Bamboo and Rattan to learn about and exchange information on China's latest breakthroughs, developments, and achievements in the field of bamboo and rattan.China Star provided services for the council.
